We have added a new release to our lauded Orchid Collection that was almost a decade in the making, introducing the 2015 Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine. Nearly a decade ago when Obama was still President, our Chief Winemaker and Viticulturist isolated some outstanding Chardonnay fruit and prioritised it for a vintage sparkling release with all the bells and whistles of the Champagne winemaking method.

Crafting serious sparkling wine is a long and patient commitment and with a late disgorgement date of October 2023 (meaning over 8 years gaining depth on its lees), and a further year resting in our winery cellar; it is only now finally ready for release.

On the palate, our Blanc de Blancs presents lively acidity with flavours of lemon zest, pear, and hints of toasted brioche, resulting from meticulous aging on lees. Its fine, persistent bubbles and smooth, creamy texture make it a sophisticated choice for special occasions or a refreshing aperitif. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with seafood, creamy cheeses, or light appetizers, our Blanc de Blanc is an exciting opportunity for our winemakers to showcase the finesse and purity of Chardonnay from the Great Southern.

A mere 330 cases of this exceptional vintage will be released with the packaging bringing together all our illustrated orchids highlighted on the front label.
