Vintage 2025 Update

The 2025 growing season has been a very dry one. The Summer has been warm, but not too hot, and we have consistently had the usual Frankland River cool evenings. Fruit set has been good and the vines are looking very balanced. It is looking like a very good quality harvest. The vineyard team have worked tirelessly on focusing on pruning and limiting our bud numbers to drive good canopy development and fruit balance. We have also started to utilise the multi-craft nutrition program on some of our blocks and we are seeing an excellent response on overall plant health from this program.

The harvest is looking likely to commence on Thursday, February 13 with our Gewurztraminer, depending on the weather and how the fruit continues to flavour ripen over the next few days.

All varieties are looking very good and this is a great testament to Giacomo and his team for their hard work and Steve James’ amazing insights. Riesling appears to have responded best to the new nutrient regime and is looking great. Shiraz is also looking very good with lovely bunch structure and fruit set. We have selected our rows for the Bluff Knoll and these vines have had a further pass through to reduce the crop loading and drive intensity in the fruit.

Here's hoping the weather stays on our side and we realise the quality in our wines from the promising fruit from Vintage 2025.
