Ferngrove Wines, is located in Frankland River, one of the world's most isolated wine estates. While this isolation makes the logistics of winemaking tough, it is also what makes Ferngrove wines distinctly different. Selected in 1998 by founder Murray Burton for its favourable viticultural location 90 kilometres from the coast, Great Southern's valleys and slopes have the rare combination of rugged, classically West Australian ancient soils and the cooling influence of the converging Southern and Indian Oceans. This unique setting allows grapes to ripen at a slower rate, giving the winemaking team the time to cultivate and nurture vines to produce their absolute best fruit.
Leaping Lizard wines are fresh, fun and flavoursome! An innovative and dynamic brand, Leaping Lizard wines promise zesty goodness in a glass. From the outset the Leaping Lizard's vision was not just to establish a brand, but a distinctive uninhibited brand that leapt out from the crowd in both quality and value. Leaping Lizard wines are made using selected parcels of high quality Western Australian fruit sourced from premium wine producing regions including Frankland River, Mt Barker and Margaret River.
Since its establishment in 1973, Killerby has grown to be one of Western Australia's leading small wineries, with a reputation for producing an outstanding range of varietal wines, namely Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Semillon. The cellar door is situated in the world famous Margaret River region of Western Australia, about 2 and half hours drive south from Perth. The region is indebted to the dedicated and passionate wine lovers who laid the foundation for what is today one of the greatest wine producing areas in Australia and indeed the world.
Our museum releases are made up of a collection of the Estate's best wines. Each year a tiny quantity of bottles get held back so we can offer them to customers once they have aged gracefully in our temperature controlled cellar. We share these gems with you to showcase how well cool climate wines age in the right temperature.
